A Two Year Old

It boggles my mind that when Violet turned two, Elsie was 6 weeks old.  Now Elsie is two and she is the twoest two year old of them all.  She is sweet, sassy, and everything in between.  We love her so much, it's insane.  I love watching the girls play together, laugh and run around the kitchen island every night, hug and kiss each other, but trust me, there is plenty of hitting and fighting that goes on as well (99% of which is caused or done by Elsie)

Fun Facts about Elsie Sue:
  • She can count to 13 by herself
  • She can sing most of her ABC's
  • Weighs 26 lbs
  • Is often heard saying "I just can't!" when asked to do something
  • Randomly (usually during sacrament) belts out "I CAN'T!" (from Frozen) or "Let it go!"
  • Loves candy just a little too much and thinks she gets it all the time. (which she doesn't)
  • She's a really good eater, (when she does eat) and mostly eats on the go, she figured she was too big for her high chair at about 18 months old
  • BEGS to go to bed, somedays I'm lucky if I make it to 12:30 (usual naptime is 1:00) before she starts asking for her nigh-night (binkie)and more often than not sleeps til 5:00 and has to be woken up
  • She thinks she is as big as Violet and her friends, which is why she has almost drowned multiple times and has way too many trips and falls due to trying to keep up.
  • She can make a mess bigger and faster than I have ever seen any child ever make in the history of ever. And she refuses to clean up. Bribing won't even tempt her.
  • She is the baby, gets called baby by everyone and therefore thinks she gets whatever she wants. And does for the most part.
  • She is THE BIGGEST cuddle bug. She will lay her head on your shoulder and stay there forever, especially if you give her a minky blanket and/or her binkie

My mom came out (after just having gotten back from Europe 4 days before!) for her birthday and we had fun partying everyday.
Elsie knew exactly what to do when she saw her presents

We had quite the time deciding what kind of cake to have my mom make.  She loves anything and everything, but LOVES Nemo and always asks to watch it.  So in the end, Nemo it was!  She could NOT get enough of the cake, she kept asking to see it and would stare at it, and talk about it when we weren't home. She was also sure to tell all of us not to touch it.

While shopping for her birthday present from my mom, she tried out a power wheels, drove it all over Walmart so we decided she had to have it. Long story short, it was short lived.  It wouldn't go in the grass and after her test drive in the morning, decided it was over rated and wouldn't touch it, so we took it back and got a wagon like we originally planned. It was fun while it lasted!
 See what I mean?!

She requested donuts for breakfast and tasted every last one of them

Then we headed to Pirates Cove (think a smaller, less exciting version of Cherry Hill, all you Utahns)

Where yet again, she refused to wear a life saving device of any kind

After her nap it was off to the mall for some shopping and the Disney store of course, where they sang Happy Birthday to her, and gave her a pin "from Minnie Mouse"

Followed by dinner at Mellow Mushroom and home for cake and ice cream

Pretty sure she thought it was last year and she was supposed to smash the cake and eat the whole thing again...

We love you baby sissy! So happy and lucky to have you in our family.
